Bleaching Cream For Black People

Bleaching Cream Effects

You may encounter various skin disorders due to the changing lifestyles and environmental issues. There are problems like age spots, dark spots, hyper pigmentation and acne. These make you lose your beauty and your face appears darker than its original tone. Using a skin bleaching cream is the first step most people take when they want to lighten their skin or reduce the freckles or age spots on it. They may also seem to work well initially, but in a little while the darker side of this treatment begins to emerge. There are several other skin bleaching creams as well as whitening products available in the market. It is always advisable to check the ingredients of these creams or lotions. You must try the natural ingredients.

In fact there was a recent report about the chemical called Hydroquinone which is one of the common ingredients used in bleaching creams. The report has established a clear connection between this chemical and the deadly disease cancer! While many countries worldwide have already banned the use of this chemical in creams, many others are yet to do their due. There are essentially two options to help lighten the underarm skin: use a natural remedy or purchase a safe and effective underarm bleaching cream. However, if you may have noticed, there seems to be hundreds of skin bleaching creams, underarm whitening creams, and facial skin lightening serums on the market. There is absolutely nothing wrong with wanting your intimate areas to match the skin tone of the surrounding areas.

It’s a little harsh to say these consumers use skin bleaching products because they are vain. Maybe vanity got a bad rap. It’s natural to want to look good in the reflection in the mirror. It’s natural to want to reflect the best qualities we can. You must also check the ingredients carefully. Make sure that that you use the products that are made up of the natural ingredients as they have no side effects. The chemical based options are always harmful. Make sure that you do not select an option that has hydroquinone. Usually African American exhibits a darker skin tone, which can be easily transformed. Most celebrities such as Beyonce, Oprah and Halle Berry are African Americans but they flaunt a reasonably lighter skin tone.

When you are beginning your search for a quality skin bleaching cream you will want to be sure it is effective without being harmful. That is the delicate balance that must be achieved by the black skin bleaching cream that you choose. To ensure you are getting a quality skin care cream make sure you are dealing with a respected manufacturer of skin care products. You should check out the skin care product manufacturers’ quality standards and whether or not they adhere to FDA regulations on these products. Excessive melanin, drawn to the skin surface, explains everything from age spots and freckles to birth marks and irregular dark patches called hyperpigmentation. The doctors took a look at what they called “depigmenting agents”. Face bleaching is extremely important for diminishing age and liver spots, blemishes, hyper pigmentation and freckles. It is always advisable to use natural bleaching substances for attaining flawless skin tone.

Recipe for hair bleach? No lemon juice!?
I’m trying to put coontails & leopard print in my hair, but I need to bleach out the sections of my hair to put blue in, since my hair is dyed black. I have used 2 different types of bleach blonde hair dye, and neither of them changed my hair at all. My hair is sort of brownish since the black is fading, so it shouldn’t be too hard.
Does anyone have a recipe for home bleaching that DOESN’T require sunlight & lemon juice, or stuff I would have to go buy at a store like developing cream?
Some people were saying to use peroxide, but i’m not too sure about that.

  2. Winnie says:

how to dye hair from black to brown without bleaching it?
My natural hair colour is black and i want to dye it rich auburn or chocolate brown colour. I have tried L’oreal Excellent Cream hair colour (Rich Auburn) but it didnt show up, my previous dyed hair even changed to black which i really hate. I’ve heard that some people use blonde colour to lift their hair from black to brown, will this work for me and what shade of blonde colour should i choose? I dont want to bleach my hair or go to the hair salon.
Also, i’ve permed my hair 3 months ago, will dying hair affect my perm, i.e straighten my hair?

    • Tu says:

dont bleach. choose a color that is very very light, and leave it like for an hour on your hair (when it says just 20 mins in the box). dont forget to spray some water on your hair to keep it moist. :)

honestly, putting chemicals especially you just had a perm wont help. just make sure to put some hot oil in it just to protect it. :) goodluck.

Is there any bleaching cream for 14 dark skin African American boyear oly?
I want to bleach my skin because people always made fun of me. The Girls always say they want a Pietro Rican or light skin because they look better and they have light skin. I feel so ugly cause I am dark skin black and people treat bad cause you dark skin. Every-time i talk to my friends they always be saying dam you black as my shirt say far away from me. I am about 2 shade darker than will smith. If we football and i tackle them they say don’t touch me you meant turn me black. All the light skin people always get attention and look better looking and have good hair and pretty eyes. So if i use bleaching cream will it mad light skin like beyonce or tony park NBA player skin color. Will i have a better life, get girls, and attention if i was light skin. I just hate begin dark skin so i think it made me unattractive and miss out opportunity’s. I am 14 by the way so what bleaching cream will work for me

  4. Miss Bliss says:

GUYS, What would you think/do if your girlfriend cut all of her hair off?
I’m a 17 year old African American female and I’m going natural!!!! Let me explain….
Society and the media make a lot of black women feel like their natural look needs to be changed in order to be beautiful and acceptable. For example, lighter skin with skin bleaching cream, and straight, silky hair instead of our natural kinky curly hair. So a majority of black women get relaxers, a product for your hair that chemically straightens it. Also because there is a common misconception that our ethnic hair is unmanageable. People call it creamy crack.

It’s a huge deal for me to go natural as a black woman! I have struggled with feelings of inadequacy to women of lighter complexions and straighter, silkier hair for a long time and I feel that going natural will be an empowering experience that will free me from thought. We could all use one of those some time right? The thing is when your natural hair grows and meets the chemically straighten hair, it breaks off so you have to get it trimmed or cut. All black people have a different curl texture so it’s like a present! I want to get my completely cut really short because I think it will be a liberating experience as a woman as well to discover how beautiful and confident I can be without hair. I feel that this will all be a valuable experience in the long run and I want huge, coily, unique hair!! GUYS, how would you feel if your girlfriend cut all of her hair off for this purpose?

Pics of natural hair. what do you think?

Look I am not a man but I felt compelled to answer you.

You are very young, there are many many men out there who prefer black women to white and visa versa. One thing I do know, you cannot really change who you are, be happy to be who you are, only then will you be loved for who you really are. Take no notice of mags etc who try and dictate what you should look like thats rubbish. They are being paid to tell you what their sponsers want you to hear.
I applaud you, I really really do, go natural be you and be very proud of yourself for not being swallowed up by tacty media rubbish.

Me well I only wear make up to go to posh dos, wedding and christenings. I am alot lot older then you but I still get chatted up without makeup, please believe, natural is best

The being with out hair issue, forget it, I dont know if you have heard of Jade well she looked beautiful without hair, but if you feel scared about that then there is always a scarf dont forget with a week or 2 your hair would have grown

Please dont look to men for advice, you are telling them you weakness and unfortunately some men will use this to their advantage.

In the meantime go for it>

Getting my skin tone back to its original color…?
I’m 13 and black. My skin tone on my chest is a caramel sort of color. My face is a milk chocolate sort of color. I want to get it back to the caramel color. I DONT want to get it back to use any skin bleaching creams and I just want to use things that I can find around the house. This wouldn’t be a problem if I didn’t swim a lot. Now that it’s summer, I like to swim. I don’t want to be embarrassed of what people are going to see. I just want one even tone. I think that my skin changed over the years in the sun. I want it back to the way it was before. Thanks for your help!
Thank you for all the answers. I appreciate it. I’ll try them. :))

  6. Christine says:

Is mixing 30 v developer with a dark red hair dye better than bleaching?
I have black hair, that sometimes looks dark brown in the light. I have never dyed my hair before and i rarely use any heating tools in my hair, so its pretty healthy. I wanted to dye my hair a dark red color with a liiittle brown, but i do not want to bleach my hair..I heard that people who use the Loreal excellent HiColor for dark hair with a cream developer actually works on dark brown-black hair, and gets a color very close to the picture.

i really have no intent in bleaching my hair until i am older, because i dont want to heavily damage my hair, or have to take all my time to take care of it. soo is mixing 30 developer with dye effective?
Also my mom refuses to take me to the salon and it costs a ton.

  7. . says:

Why do people like to pick on asians and blacks for lighting their skin?
Ok so I am going to break this down clearly. It’s pretty obvious that skin lighting is pretty popular in asian countries and even african countries. We all know about skin bleaching creams, skin soaps, etc… yet some people are always so concerned as to why this is. Not trying to be racist or anything… but it’s mainly white people and some black people, saying we are self haters and we wish to “look” like them, lol. That is just a bunch of bull. Last month I posted a question asking how to lighten a “tan” i got over the summer time. I’m light skinned nigerian american ( about a shade or two lighter than beyonce) and I got so many mean comments. People calling em a self hater mainly, “wanna be white”, ‘oreo”. I mean what the hell? I do not want to be white, however I felt that from being in the sun so much (I live in Texas, it is HOT) it caused my skin to form uneven dark spots, and it just looked very unnatural and I wanted my skin to be the color it was before summer time. That’s all, nothing to do with wanting to be “white”. Same goes for asians, my best friend is asian and she lightens her skin, but is it because she wants to be white?…. NO. She just thinks that whiter skin looks beautiful on her, and it does, I couldn’t imagine her with a tan. She loves her Japanese culture and what not, why would something as little as that make her want to be white? If you get what I am saying. Not to say there are not some asians and blacks out there that actually wish to be of a different race, but you cannot stereotype them all to be like that. i just most definitely do not want to be white, and I am not saying that in a rude way, I am just proud of who I am. Does anyone else agree?(asian or black?)
Also you see lots of white people that tan. does that mena they want to be black? NO, It’s just what they consider to beautiful for them.
@terry- LOl I do not want to be white, I think i mentioned that twice.

  8. ✖Becs✖ Ouch! hot soup --->♨ says:

Why do white people say black people have only invented Peanut Butter, when?
when George Washington Carver himself was an agricultural chemist, not just some guy who “invented” peanut butter.

Carver discovered three hundred uses for peanuts and hundreds more uses for soybeans, pecans and sweet potatoes. He also invented recipes or improvements for, adhesives, axle grease, bleach, buttermilk, chili sauce, fuel briquettes, ink, instant coffee, linoleum, mayonnaise, meat tenderizer, metal polish, paper, plastic, pavement, shaving cream, shoe polish, synthetic rubber, talcum powder and wood stain.

BUT for white people to ignore that other stuff makes them look like a bunch of retarded aszholes. So is it just their stupidity that makes them say this because I hear it all the time. Especially on here, I don’t take the ppl on here serious, but I’m actually starting to think some believe it…

    • Phoenix Destiny says:

George Washington Carver invented mayonnaise to? white people should be kissing his azz. White people love seem some mayo without a black men to invent it they would of committed suicide.

  9. blah says:

Why do people think when someone tans they want to be black?
    This is black:
    http://i558.photobucket.com/albums/ss26/amysaenz_2009/blackcolor.png

    This is tan:
    http://www.spraytanningsolutioninfo.com/wp-content/uploads/2011/06/tanned-skin.gif

Tanning is natural, It’s the result of the sun’s effect on your skin. Unnatural is taking a man made cream and using it to bleach your skin, nothing natural about that.
Getting lip injections has nothing to do with race. Native Americans and Middle Easterns tend to have larger lips and they’re not black so it’s not about race.
Butt implants and breast implants also have nothing to do with race. When you weigh more, you have more curves.
How come I meet black people with no butt or boobs? Explain that to me.
How come NOT ANYONE of any race goes to a salon and asks for nappy hair? I’ll wait.

    Get over yourselves.

    • Kevin says:

      “Tanning is natural,”

True. However laying about in the sun baking for hours on end for the express purpose of darkening one’s skin is more “cultural” than “natural” not to mention the cultural practice of laying on a tanning bed, or even spraying on fake tans from a bottle ect. Not so “natural” after all, is it?

“How come NOT ANYONE of any race goes to a salon and asks for nappy hair?”
But they often go and request more “kinky” hair i.e. my hair is bone straight please apply some kink.

Let’s consider the percentage of people who bleach their skin to the numbers that tan… Which percentage would you guess to be higher and I mean MUCH higher.

Let’s proclaim a truce by admitting that members of all races engage in some degree of “self-hate” and by that I mean that we dislike the color of our skin, the shape of our eyes, the natural condition of our hair or perhaps our hair color. When disliking ourselves makes us dislike other people then that I think becomes a larger and more dangerous issue. By all means tan if you like, curl your hair, wear contacts, get a boob job, widen your eyes or lighten your skin. It’s all superficial and it wouldn’t stop me from liking you or disliking you because I’m more interested in what’s inside of you anyway.

    foundation and facial hair…?
i have black facial hair…right on my upper lip…i stopped waxing it for about three weeks and it looks like it’s stopped growing…kinda like my eyebrows…they just know when to stop growing….but my facial hair is kinda noticeable…i’m tired of waxing, bleaching, using creams, and i don’t want to shave it off…is facial hair more noticeable to you or to other people too? and can i use liquid foundation to hide it?

    • Nadine says:

It’s definately more noticeable to yourself.

When people look at you, they are not looking for facial hair, whereas when you look at yourself you are constantly pinpointing things that you don’t like about your face – in your case facial hair.

I can guarantee that other people won’t find it as noticeable as you do.

And in the end, everyone has facial hair to some extent, some just more noticeable than others.

If it really bothers you and you don’t want to continue waxing/bleaching etc why not look at laser hair removal? It would mean the end of unwanted facial hair and isn’t TOO expensive :S Why not look up a clinic and go for a consultation and see what the experts think is the best option for you?

You’ve probably got nothing to worry about!

      Good Luck!

      P.S – nah, foundation won’t hide it I’m afraid!

I feel ashamed of begin dark skin black?.?
Every time i go to school someone always made fun of me and call me burnt and black monkey . You black you should bleach your skin up to beyonce or T.I complexion. Everyone told me that light skin people look better than dark skin. They said dark skin black people are ugly and stuffs. This girl told me that she will date me if i would bleach my skin up to Christ brown color. No one want to be Friend cause i am dark every time we at gym i am always the last to get pick when they put on someone team they told the teacher he meant turn me black or he bother me. I wish God made me Putero Rican or Light skin cause they get treated better, and get all the girls and everyone want to be there Friend. So there anyway i can get light skin. What pills or creams will work for a 13 year old boy dark skinned african american boy to made them light skin or hispainic light color.

    • Van J says:

Dude don’t do that those people are racist, forget them. Don’t bleach your skin or you will be like michael jackson. I have allot of black friends and some of them are really really dark skin but i don’t say racist things like that. Forget those people

  12. i hate this says:

So like whats really going on?
A girl about 45 minutes ago there was a white girl talking about “Can a white girl want a little sun without being called out for wanting to be black?” And I noticed that alot of the comments were from black females agreeing how yes, white women like to tan to look like you(which I think its funny, cause it was take a long as time to look like a lot of y’all) but anyways I want to know whats up with the black women with the long ass indian weave(knowing half y’all don’t have that type of textured hair, dying the hair blond, the bleaching Cream(ms. beyonce), and the pretty blue and green contacts. And yes I know SOME black people are born with green, blue, and light brown eyes..but im sorry if you look like wesley snipes boo, you have no Business rocking the blue or green…
and lets not forget getting the relaxor every 6 weeks but lying and telling folks you got “indian” in you and you just got that “good hair”….give me a break and explain to me that…so does that mean your trying to be white or what????? cu
chocoko or whatever your damn name is..if your soo fine like you say then why your as* got a cartoon pic as your profile….you must dont look that pretty……get the f*ck outta here with that bullsh*t.

Skin Whitening Cream for 14 year old African American boy?
I want to bleach my skin because my friends keep on telling me than i am blue black or look like a very dark skin black person. They always made fun of my skin color and say i look like black night or i look like a black shirt. No black, white,Spanish,Asian girls in my school like me cause they will say i am too black for them i need take pill to get lighter so i will look cute. Light skin people always look good looking and have better life and pretty eyes and jobs and men and woman. When we play football in the gym they will say don’t tackle me cause i meant turn them black or the football black. They always say i was born in the sun. All the girls like the putero-rican boys, white boys and light skin black dudes and say they cute and have pretty hair and eyes. But the dark skin ones is too black and ugly. I feel like i wish god made me putero rican with light skin with good hair and eyes They keeping tell me light skin people are better and so pretty . So is there any skin creams that made you light skin like beyonce complexion or putero rican light skin. Any good contacts to made eyes green or hazel. If i do this will girls go with me and people will like me and i have easier life. It hard when you dark skin black people cause people treat me like if i am not person.

    • Dannii says:

Mate, u sound like ur willing to change a lot, for wat?? the affections of girls???? it is more important to be true to yourself. If they carnt look beyond the colour of your skin is it really worth being their mate?? Michael Jackson was an extreme case of this but look what the treatments did for his skin, he had to shade himself from the sun? is that the type of kife you want to live? And for the wishing you were something else? dont we all wish for what we cant have?. Stay true to yourself, for it is you that u have to please not ANYONE else. Sometimes girls might just need to get to know you first. and remember those who are popular in high school often dont end up popular.

Strong Bleaching cream for african americans?
I ask that you Please Don’t respond if you don’t have an answer, i’m seeking answers not opinions. I would like to know what are some strong bleaching creams for black people i really want to lighten my skin by at least 3 shades. As of now i would say i’m gabrielle unions complextion but i would like to lighten my complextion by 3 shades. I tried some of the over the counter creams that contain hydroquinone but i would like to know if there is anything stronger.

    • Sarah D says:

You really need to be careful using hydroquinone, quite strong and the side effects can lead to cancer!!!

The best products I used to lighten my skin up to two shades over a period of say three months was the Lighter and Brighter Skin Lightening Ritual, mainly the LIghter and Brighter Age Resisting Skin Lightening cream which works wonders and you will see results within 4 weeks!!!

to get more information FREE check out http://www.thebeautychallenge.com or http://www.ndskinlightening.com

Skin Lightening should be long term therefore any rapid miracle cures overnight will be more damaging long term.

      Hope that helps

Indians use skin bleaching cream because of the sun? thats funny?
Some Indians say that they use bleaching cream becasue the sun makes them dark, so what white people are always in the sun, black people are always in the sun mexicans are always in the sun but they dont use that excuse for bleaching their skin, Indians seem to hate their skin colors so much at least the most of them, and their race ddint get darker because its hot, Africa is way hotter than India so they stay black but Indians keep on saying that they are that color because they are Aryans who stay out in the sun, the Sun doesnt turn people black, having Africian ancestry mackes you black so why cant they accept this?

    • Answerbot says:

Having lighter skin is a sign of being higher-caste from what I’ve been told. If you have dark skin it means you work outside, doing physical labor, or other undesirable work. The lighter the skin the more wealthy you tend to be.

It’s the same thing in almost every culture on Earth. Hundreds of years ago it was attractive for Europeans to be overweight as it was a sign that you had a lot of food (hence money). A lot of our styles today stem from the whole “I have more than you” mentality. Guys having short hair and nails (males grow hair/nails faster than females) is a sign that you can afford professional grooming (haircuts/manicures/etc) where as long hair and nails on women is more attractive because it’s harder to upkeep and maintain – especially if you work out in the fields or some other form of hard labor.

  17. Purple_Haze_89 says:

Will this work on hair? Black to Blonde?
I read this article on WIKIHOW about going from Black to Blonde, has anyone tried it? and what were the results?

    1. Make sure your hair is in good condition for bleaching. You can start some period ahead of time by doing masks, hot oil treatments, or deep conditioner treatments. For those of you who have weird alien hair, you won’t have to go through a strenuous conditioning regimen, but most people will need to condition thoroughly.
Obtain L’Oreal Colorzap http://www.lorealtechnique.com/haircolor_05.shtml). This is essential for removing black color from your hair. Do not waste your time and money on Color OOps. It does not take black out of hair.

    2. Depending on your hair color you will want to leave on Colorzap for a good amount of time. Put the stuff in, darker parts first then lighter areas, throw on a shower cap and pop in a movie. After about 2 hours its time to wash.

    3. Wash it out and let your hair air dry. Your hair is now ready for one of two things. You can either apply a new color to your newly lightened hair or you can bleach it out to even the tone some more.

    4. Use toners for taking out the brassiness.

    5. Now that your hair is dry it’s time to bleach it to even out the tones with Clairol’s Nice and Easy Born Blonde Maxi Blonding Kit. The MAXI kit is for individuals who have dark drown to black hair. It will tone down and even out the strawberry and brown patches.

    6. Allow the kit to sit for approx. 90 minutes. You may be able to go longer but 90 min. is the recommended duration.

    7. Wash and condition your hair.

    8. Mix up Ion’s High Lift blonde in HL/G-12.3 the next morning. It is described as a High Lift gold blonde. Mix it (2oz) with 40 VOL Developer (4oz). Slather it on and wait an hour. Be careful, it can burn your skin if you don’t test it first.

    9. Wash it out using John Frieda’s shimmering blonde shampoo and conditioner. Extra conditioner at this point can be helpful.

    10. Spray frizz reducer and use frizz reducer cream on your hair before blow drying and flat ironing it.

    11. This is a great way to get to blonde from jet black in one evening without breakage or damage.

    • chlo-attack says:

im going to be blunt and save you from heart ache
there is no way in hell that it can be done from even dark brown to black
at most, you will have a frizzy damaged yellow-orange blonde

if you really insist on doing it at home, then it will take some time,
just slowly climb up the ladder in shades of brown
bleach a little, dye it lighter, wait for it to recover, and repeat

      OR!!!

you could be epic smart and pay for it to be done professionally, because if you screw up, then that is your own fault, but if they screw up, they will do what they can to fix it

    Good skin bleaching creams?
I live in a very suburban area and a lot of the people are white.
Every where I go, someone is making fun of my skin color.
Im black and Im originally from Africa, and Im very dark, and I used to like my skin, but Im sick of people teasing me and ridiculing me for it. I just want to be white, and I know I that will never happen.
Its gotten to the point where I don’t even want to go outside anymore. I’ve tried lemons, but that didn’t work. Can anyone reccomend good skin bleaching creams please?

    • Huh?!? says:

Not a cream but a remedy.

Every night, pour some milk into a cup and squeeze a slice if lime into it, then stir. Use a rag or brush and brush the milk on your skin. Leave the milk on your skin for 10-15 minutes, it’ll begin to smell sour, but it’s okay, the smell goes away when you rinse it off. Rinse the milk off your skin. After a few days, you’ll begin to notice that your skin has whiten.

Milk is a natural whitener, the lime is an acid that helps break down your skin so the milk will work more effective.

Also… Always put on Sunblock and cover up whenever you can. Avoid direct contact wirh sunlight whenever possible.

    Help!! Badly Fried Hair?
Ok I don’t want to hear people say how stupid I am for doing all this I just need a solution I know it was stupid. I had jet black hair about 3 wks ago and I have been bleaching it every week and I almost permed itbcas I hav thin hair and I wanted it to look fuller… well it was fine till the perm but it didn’t get this bad till I double process bleached it.. I used the chi cream bleach thinking its not so damaging bcas it has conditioners in it but yea I did way too much and now I look like a clown.. Idk wat to do blow drying makes it stick out to the sides and ofcourse its not even the white blonde I wanted but more that orange golden blonde I don’t like. I chopped my hair very short almost to my chin but that didn’t work and makes it more unmanageble.. Someone plz help me.. I don’t even wanna leave the house

    • Kmmv says:

Neutrogena has a night therapy conditioner that works well, and from the sounds of it all you can really do is either cut it more or just keep conditioning the heck out of it. You should wait on coloring it anymore for a couple weeks. when your hair is that dark it’s hard to get the white color right away.
Only other suggestion is to go into a salon and ask what you can do at home if anything

Should I feel ashamed and bad about my dark skin black? Is light skin better than dark skin?
Every time i am at school someone always made fun of my dark skin color. They always be saying come here black” why do you do that black. You blackest person i ever seen and are you Africa? When the teachers have school projects no one want to work with me because they say i meant turn them dark. I always have to work by my self. All girls in my school like putero rican,Mexican, white, light skin black dudes because they have good hair and they look good and dark skin ones are ugly and too black. Why do everyone treat me bad cause i am dark skin they act like i not even a human bee. I wish God made fun light skin with hazel eyes and good hair. If I take pill or bleach my skin and turn light skin or Hispanic will people treat better. Why light skin people always get treated better. What Bleaching Whitening Cream will work for a 15 year old boy and made him light skin. What contacts will made my eyes look hazed. Can you have surgery to my hair look Hispanic instead of this black nappy hair. Why most girls don’t like dark skin guys is because they dark and ugly?

    • A Human Being says:

Sir, this is self depreciation, and plainly, simple stupidity. Don’t listen to what others say because if they’re making fun of you, it usually means they have problems too. If you really want to get technical about it, dark skin is better because it provides a higher protection from the sun. Don’t feel bad. Feel good.

What if Michael Jackson wanted his skin to be lighter?
My point doesn’t much apply to my title question.Something that MJ said caught my attention.
He said(i’m not sure I’m quoting him exactly)
“Why is it so bad when people think black people want their skin to be lighter, but white people get in tanning beds and no one says anything about that, wouldn’t that mean they are trying to be other than what they are?”

I thought about it,and I come to a conclusion that he is right.I know that during The Thriller era his skin become lighter do to his vitiligo yet I’ve heard some people ridicule him because they think he used skin bleach creams to make himself appear lighter.First of all,all shades of skin color are beautiful. What I don’t understand is,Is there that much difference in MJ getting skin bleach treatment(for his vitiligo,I’m sure)and Paris Hilton getting a fake spray tan.

I know it’s because people look better when they have a tan,but i’ve heard some people say that MJ looked better when his skin become lighter.Of course that is disturbing because it’s not true,MJ was gorgeous when he was darker and dark skin is beautiful, that’s not my point. My point is,wouldn’t getting a fake tan also mean trying to be other than what you are?

I just wanted your opinions on this topic.

i am an african american female, with what many people call, “mosquito bite” legs. i’ve been having many problems with skin discoloration for some time now. i am a fair brown skin, but my legs have small black dots all over. my legs have been like this since the age of 10 (im now 19). my knees are extremely dark, as well as my elbows. i suffered from a skin condition called eczema 4 about a month, & got it treated &healed. but the eczema left behind very dark circles on my legs &arms. parts of my body are waaay lighter than other parts. my legs also feel bumby bcuz of razor bumbs.my skin is a total mess. it has took me in and out of deppression. i have to wear clothes to cover up… like long sleeve shirts and long pants in 95 degree weather! its embarrissing! DOES ANY1 KNOW OF A BLEACHING PRODUCT THAT WORKS EFFICIENT, FAST, AND IS NOT TOO EXPENSIVE? I NEED 2 C DRASTIC CHANGE AND IMPROVE MENT. SOMETHING THAT REALLY WORKS!?!? I WANT SMOOTH PRETTY SKIN, THATS ALL ONE SHADE. ANY HELP???

    • Epix says:

Seriously, you should save up a bit of money and visit a dermatologist. If you think about it, even the term ‘skin bleaching’ can’t possibly be good, as far as some cheap remedy you get over the counter.

A derm would be able to tell you exactly what they can do and do it right, instead of taking the risk of messing up your skin even more with cheap products.

I hate beinq black.. (Please read the description..)?
Wow, I feel like crying just typing this. Everyday someone has to make a comment about black people. Like in my school, there was a fight between to ghetto girls at lunch. All the black people were getting involved in it and all the white people just stood and laughed and got scared, etc . I just wwatched in disgust. Then, when I sat down at my lunch table, a white boy that sits at my twble said” Ughh, more black girls. You know, this school would be better without black people.” And then him and another white boy that sat at my table started catogorizing blacks.( Stealers, Poor, Ghetto, Ugly) I just wanted to cry , so I went to the bathroom at my school and started crying silently. I’m not in any of those categories! They just think just because the majority of blacks are like that in my school, all blacks are like that! (Man I’m crying now..) Most black people in my school try to act ghetto , because they think that’s the way black people act. I’m actually really smart and non-ghetto and people call me an oreo. I have all a’s and a B and B-, and most people say that’s really rare for a black person to have those grades. That’s why they say the school would be better without blacks. I also live in a nice 2 story house in a nice neighborhood, so I’m not poor like lots of people say. I hate being categorized and stereotyped. And when I walk into stores in the mall, white people just stare and look at me like they’re waiting for me to steal something. I don’t steal! And, I want to be a peditrician when I grow up, but I never see black people that are pediatricians. Maybe they are nurses or something but never pediatricians. And, I’m afraid the patients are going to say in their mind” Oh no, we have a black doctor… she’s not gonna help us..” Also, many white boys in my school say blacks are ugly and they would never date a black girl. They say they never see black girls with long hair like whites. And if they do, they immediately think it’s a weave or wig. That brings my self esteem down. And with all this hate blacks are getting my self esteem is REALLY low. I’m SO uncomfortable in my own skin. I’m thinking sbout buying skin bleaching cream from Walmart today to make my skin lighter. I even thought about killing myself.. and If this black hate gets really out of hand, I might just do it..
I don’t feel loved at all in this world being a black..

      Note:
Being white, having blonde hair, blue eyes = melanin deficiency, which I don’t think is healthy.

At least black people have an identity. Even if its negative…. white people try to find their own identity, listening to rap music, trying to skate-pro (black people do that, too.), even go crumping__ they can’t find one. Being white is pretty cheap. Black is beautiful, girl.

Being Black is awesome. We have interesting hair, multiple ‘black’grounds, and its easier to be noticed.

Also, be strong. Their desire is for you to leave the face of this earth. So killing yourself would:
      -make them happy???
-parents mourn for years to come???
      -one ticket to hell???

      so who REALLY wins?

don’t bleach your skin. you’ll look weird. go find black friends, and hopefully someone of a different race will except you for who you are. simple.

First of all, I think really dark skin is particularly beautiful, it makes all the features of the face seem so dramatic.
First, stop using the cream, it will only make things worse
Second, you might try using sunscreen on the areas that are darker to help it even out
Third, there are creams you can get from your doctor, but they are expensive.
I would only do that if you can’t wait since it will even out with time

The skin color debate. What is beautiful 2 you and why?
Someone deleted my question lol. so i will just say it simple. Remember this is freedom of speech. i just read a queation asked by a white man talkin about how dark skinned women are unattractive. so what??? i cant have my view?? i’m just not attracted to them & dont get why they are in magazines and on tv as icons of beauty when they really are just black people who have evolved for their cold surrounding. Black skin is just amazing to look at to have. i’m not tryna affend people just tryna understand the hype of “white features” theres whit people out thier injecting thier lips. using tan creams to look a little more like us. THAT SAYS SOMETHING TO ME. I know thers black people out ther that use bleaching creams. But thats the cause of colonization. White people have no excuse

Tell me the fuss with straight hair, thin lips. I wanna know how that connotes beauty. Please dont see this as offensive and wana delete my question. If people can talk shit about dark skin and how only beyonce is beautiful (cos shes light) then i can talk about white skin and how its just genreally unattractive to me
I never once said i hate white people & to be honest I do find them attractive. I basically wanted to see others response to such a statment. I very much am attracted to white males and think white females can be very stunning (still i love my dark browns) Alot of white men, white women. black man and even black women have issues with dark skin. & find it unnattractive. And It is not prefrence. Its continous brain washing that makes us all believe that white is right. and that dark is wrong. Ask yourself who you belive to be a good lookin dark skinned women. Theres probly 2 names you can come up with. Yet if i ask you to name a good loookin dark male. You can say plenty. So how can a man with the same features and skin tone as a black women be deemed as good looking. Yet the woman cant. You probly dont even know why you dont find them attractive. You just know you dont. Its called socialization. That was my point. No offense intended.

    skin bleaching deliemma!!! help!!!?
ok my situation is that about 2 or 3 months ago i got hooked on skin bleaching creams
at first my skin was really nice and bright and went from a dark creamy choclate color to caramel
i was so happy at that time i was using a cream call TROPICLEAR
i applied it every night and during the day
den i HEAR THAT THERE WAS a cream that could make me more lighter the name of the cream was called MOVATE
I treid it for two days and i noticed my skin started to do go really red so i stoped. After a week my skin went alll wrinkly im only 15 now but i swear for 4 days i look like a 50 yr old granpa on my face .after it went wrinkly my skin peeled a lot
    it was so disgusting
i think i had a reation coz its sed that the cream has some sort of strong steriod
and i question people about it
i was then told that the cream is very harsh and that wen u use creams like that u have to mix wif sum sort of mostrizer
so just i decided to stop wif that cream
then what i did was i bought all these creams that people use to lighten there skin :
    Dermovate
    skin light loiton
    shirley skin lightening mediated cream
    benovate
    some more tropiclear
    maxi light
    bio clarie
and i cant remember the rest
    and mix them toghther
and then i added some sorbolene cream and a bit of mositrizer
    into it
den i went really light it was soo noticable
and plus i looked like i had a mask on coz i didnt really apply anything on my neck so it looked really black
anyways i was having family problems and they told me to stop using those creams so i did
but after i stop i now have many dark paches of my face in areas like under my eyes(now looks like iv been punched both eys)
both checks are dark and around my mouth looks really dark
    i look horrrible
my gp says it not a bit deal but it is he proscribed me a hydrosicone cream to stop the inflamation and redness
and some skin antibiotics iv also check to see if i have any cancer which i dont tnnk god
my im really curious is my skin gonna go bak to its normal ccolor and look
and will the the dark patches go away
im also really curious if anybody has gawn through sumfing like dis pplzzz
    tell me how it went

i really want my skin to go back to normal

currently im using sorolene and palmers skin cream
so yer im not really seeing gud results.

well, if u did not have skin problems in the 1st place, u shouldn’t have used the stuff, ur only 15..ur skin is not mature yet….ALl those products u mentioned are not good for u, stop using that toxic stuff they sell at the beauty supply store and why did u use soo many products at the time?? Well, anyways, u should look into something natural like kojic acid or black licorice soap for now. Ur skin should eventually repair itself, but give it some time..Since it sounds like ur gp is a doctor ask him for a prescription for retin-a micro, but if he saids no, go and buy some neutrogena healthy skin with retinol..That will help u even out the dark patches and try to find a good natural lightening soap as well..it won’t make u much lightener but will help with the discoloration. U can try SWISS L GLUTATHIONE BAR SOAP, they sell it on ebay for less than $12…U can invest in a good eye cream to help with the dark under eyes like arbonne Re9 Nutrimin corrective eye cream..its helps. Also, go buy a good sunscreen with spf 30, to prevent more discoloration from forming and stop using products with hydroqunione..too many bad side effects for ethnic skin..

u can email me if u have any other questions or

    Wondering what everyone thinks.?
Do you think it’s hipocritical for people to say it’s horrible for people with darker skin to use things to get lighter when white people don’t get any flack for tanning to get darker? I think it is. I don’t mind people doing either one. I think pale skin, dark skin, and all the colors in between are beutiful. They can both make you look better if done in moderation or in the right amount or they can make you look nasty if you do too much. P.S. I’m not talking about hardcore bleaching to your skin (dangerous!) i’m talking about creams or glutathione pills that just even you tone and may make you a few shades lighter.) Or when black people get nose jobs, even if it doesn’t make their noses “european”, people tell them that they’re getting rid of their “ethnic identity” but everyone else can get nose jobs and no one cares! I think people should be able to do what they want! What do you think?

    • Kayla A says:

I agree; I think that since less people use skin-lightening treatments, it isn’t accepted as much in society, whereas it is perfectly normal for people to go tanning. I think it’s unfair that blacks who want to use skin-lightening treatments are slammed for not “staying true to themselves” when other people who go tanning at tanning salons get compliments on their skin.

How should i tell my parents about my skin bleaching?
im a 17 year old guy and i have a problem. To start off my dad is black and my mom is half black and half native american. At school i have had to deal with a few people that are racist. Second, I was born into a military family. So we have traveled to many different countries around the world. Now i live in a nice middle class suburban style homes. My parents have always had successful jobs and raised me well. I experience diffrent cultures and people so i guess im a diverse person. I normally listen to more pop and rock and roll music. I talk proper english and don’t really use slang. I wear more of the skinny jeans and preppy style clothing. For school i go to a private catholic school. Some of the black kids make fun of me because i don’t play basketball or talk slang like they do. Since middle school it has been the black kids that laughed at me because i don’t live to the level of standards of blackness. I recenlty bought a skin bleaching cream at a local drug store. I first applied the cream to my arms. Weeks later my whole arm turned really light. ( i have a medium dark complexion.) The reason i want to do this is because im tired from racism and wanted to be white. I don’t know what to do once my parents find out my whole body turns really light. Im really insecure about my race and planned on bleaching to become a white person or have my nose changed to look like a white person’s nose. ( my nose is huge and wide) so what should i do?

    • ♥ℓεxx says:

Well, if your serious about the change just sit your parents down and tell them how you feel and why you feel that way. They seem like they really care about you and will be somewhat understanding. They’ll most likely react strongly at first but will come around.
But you really shouldn’t let people get to you like that. Just because your different from them and hold carry yourself well doesn’t mean you should change for them.

      Good Luck!

Black Women, Have You Ever Felt The Need To Bleach Your Skin…?
in order to be lighter, because you were raised to think “light & white are right”?

this question comes up because i was watching the tyra show this morning, and she had these gorgeous dark women on, and the topic of the show was skin bleaching. all these women had been bleaching their skin for years (using bleaching cream, or in one instance, actual liquid bleach, like clorox) because they wanted to be light-skinned; they were raised, or conditioned, to think that being light-skinned is somehow better than being dark-skinned, that there is somehow more opportunities in life if your complexion is a lighter shade of brown.
when i was watching it, all i could think is that those women were insane to ever think such a thing. i’m dark-skinned, and no one in my life has ever told me that i’d be “prettier” if i were lighter, and never has a man told me that he wouldn’t date me or talk to me because he prefers lighter women, nor in any way has anyone told me that my life would be more amazing if i was somewhere near beyonce’s color. so i couldn’t really understand the logic of those women who chose to bleach their skin, and in one case, their children’s skin. i’ve always been taught to love me for me, no matter what other people say or think. so i was just wondering, are there really other black women who are like this, who want to be a fairer complexion because they think it’s better than being dark? is being light-skinned actually better than being dark-skinned? if you think so, why?

    • Question says:

Women, please for the love of al things holy, stop thinking you’d be better off if you were like this or that. Well, first of all, I don’t feel a need to alter the color of my complexion. All this business about light skinned vs dark skinned girls should’ve been left back in the 19th century! Ridiculous.

Secondly, those creams are VERY dangerous!

Do you know that the active ingredient in those creams, hydroxyquinone, is the SAME stuff used to develop camera film? YES… gross, huh? Those creams also have neurotoxins such as Mercury in them, too. Also, the bleaching creams sold in the UK also reputed to have steroids in them, too…and that we know is definitely not safe!

There have been a number of cases in both Africa and Europe where people have died from the continued use of such “cosmetics.” If you ask me, they should be banned completely and if not banned then very strongly discouraged!

Nope, best to love oneself…no matter what the “trend” may be…and to encourage that in our daughters and granddaughters.

I hate being black.. (Please read description..)?
Wow, I feel like crying just typing this. Everyday someone has to make a comment about black people. Like in my school, there was a fight between to ghetto girls at lunch. All the black people were getting involved in it and all the white people just stood and laughed and got scared, etc . I just watched in disgust. Then, when I sat down at my lunch table, a white boy that sits at my table said” Ugh, more black girls. You know, this school would be better without black people.” And then him and another white boy that sat at my table started categorizing blacks.( Stealers, Poor, Ghetto, Ugly) I just wanted to cry , so I went to the bathroom at my school and started crying silently. And, I want to be a pediatrician when I grow up, but I never see black people that are pediatricians. I’m thinking about buying skin bleaching cream from Walmart today to make my skin lighter. I even thought about killing myself.. and If this black hate gets really out of hand, I might just do it..
I don’t feel loved at all in this world being a black..

It is really hard for me to because i feel like nobody really accepts me bt i have to accept myself. God made you you for a reason and i dont kno where you live but the kids at your skool are the most ignorant white people I have ever seen in my life. DONT BLEACH YOURSELF, i dnt know too much about it but im sure it cant be gud for your skin. You have to learn to love you for who you are and im really proud of you for not falling victim to peer pressure. Keep making good grades and strive to be a pediatrician. People can think watever they want but you will prove to them you kno wat yur doin when you do an excellent job on their kids ! Finally DNT EVER THNK ABOUT KILLING YOUSELF! your life is to valuable and precious to waste it like that. If you kill yourself that is giving those people control over your life and you cant do that. i really hope you can come to terms with yourself because that is your skin and you have to be n it until the day you die so make the best of it. Cause at everyone at my school always made fun of me call me brant black that when i was born my mom left me in oven at 500 degrees and i came out black and they said I am form form africa live in trees and throw bananas at people . Why people always made fun of dark skin people is bad to be dark skin? No one want to be Friend cause they “said if i touch them i mean turn them black something like that or i get near them they going get the black disease . Sometimes wish I was Hispanic or White cause people don’t fun of there skin color and they have it easier than dark skin black people. If i bleach my skin will it give me light skin and better jobs and stuffs and also better treatment and respect.

    • radioactive_vampire_juice says:

Uh.. I totally agree with dtown, except for the making fun of Hispanic people back and the whole jealousy thing. Yes, you should be proud of your appearance and heritage, but a supremacist attitude is not the way to go about it.

Honestly, the best way to handle your situation, in my opinion, would not be to give in to them by changing your appearance. That would only show them that they have enough control over you with their stupid insults that they can make you insecure and force you to change yourself. If you started thinking “I like the way I am and you’re just ignorant,” it might show them that they can’t touch you. If they want to be racist and ignorant, you don’t have to cave in to their oppression.

As for the better treatment, that’s really untrue. In most places, people won’t begrudge you a job because you’re darker than white. Unless you live in a town mainly populated by Ku Klux Klan alumni. Also, having light skin doesn’t get you respect. Really, if the people who make fun of you see you change because of that, they might lose respect for you, because it would show you don’t have any confidence.

So, overall, don’t just change because people make fun of you. They are ignorant and unhealthy to pay any attention to, and if you change the color of your skin for them, you will only show them how weak you are to their power.

  39. Miss Bliss says:

My Capricorn boyfriend doesn’t seem to support my decision to cut all of my hair off. What do you think?
I’m a 17 year old African American female and I’m going natural!!!! Let me explain….
Society and the media make a lot of black women feel like their natural look needs to be changed in order to be beautiful and acceptable. For example, lighter skin with skin bleaching cream, and straight, silky hair instead of our natural kinky curly hair. So a majority of black women get relaxers, a product for your hair that chemically straightens it. Also because there is a common misconception among most that our ethnic hair is unmanageable and undesirable. People call it creamy crack because relaxers are addictive and can make you feel so much better about your hair.

It’s a huge deal for me to go natural as a black woman! I have struggled with feelings of inadequacy to women of lighter complexions and straighter, silkier hair for a long time and I feel that going natural will be an empowering experience that will free me from thought. We could all use one of those some time right? You might be thinking “it’s just hair.” Yeah, I know. The hair is symbolic of something more powerful over me. Going natural is like fixing a broken mindset of illusions I’ve had for a long time. I used to really hate myself for being black. I was explaining relaxers and going natural to my Capricorn boyfriend and he didn’t really say anything. He’s kind of superficial, judgmental, and picky when it comes to a woman’s looks. I get the feeling it may be an issue for him if I cut off all my hair. This is a huge deal to me and I would want his support definitely not his judgment. If it’s a problem for him then I think I can find better.

CAPRICORNS OR PEOPLE WHO KNOW THEM, what would the Capricorn male think of this?
    I’m a Leo!

    • Mish says:

Good for you, may you never use relaxers anymore. I just knew you were a leo (i had no idea leos were compatible with capricorns, hmm)
he’ll have to just get over it, natural hair is great and you both will feel more comfortable with it (many women treat permed hair/weaves like a minefield, not allowing anyone near it let alone touching it)

    I wish I wasn’t Indian?
I am not talking about genetically. I am fine with my features etc this has nothing to do with skin color and stuff like that.

This has to do with the Indian culture. The culture is racist, sexist, very intolerant, and obsessed with reputation, money, and education. Many Indian parents will get extremely mad with their kids if they do not choose to become doctors. A person’s success will often times only be defined by the career they have. They marry based on how rich the partner is and how good the family’s reputation is.
Indians are so racist that they often judge Indian marriage partners on the color of their skin. North Indians think South Indians are inferior because of their darker skin and many Indians use skin bleaching cream (I am North Indian). They hate non Indians even more, especially black people.
They will worry so much about “what the Indian community” will think so much that it will get to the point that many Indian kids have seen their parents threaten to kill themselves over an action that is harmful to their Indian “reputation” although usually they aren’t serious about the threat.
Example- An action that is “harmful” to their reputation for many Indian parents would be if their child switches their major from Biology to English. They consider teachers failures often times because of their low salary and low reputation (to Indians at least).
If you wanna marry a non Indian be prepared to have many Indian friends (though the younger ones aren’t as bad) and family members talk shit about you and your non Indian partner. Not to mention that you might be thrown out of the family.
My dad is very bad, even worse than the average Indian dad and that says something. He has an extreme obsession with education and considers me a failure because I am not a doctor and do not have a high paying business job..nevermind the fact that I am still a senior- undergrad student. He compares me to other kids, calls me a failure and gets mad at me 3-4 times a week about education/careers.

Are there any other Indians out there that hate the Indian culture? I don’t call it “my culture” since I refuse to take part in that savage disgusting culture.

    • Alicia says:

I am not Indian but appreciate your deep introspective on the culture. I see your points as I have Indian friends who have been ‘victimized’ for not marrying the chosen partner or choosing the ‘wrong’ career. A lot of cultures, unfortunately, suffer from this same kind of racism, classism, etc.
I think the important thing here is yes, to reject all the negatives of your own culture, but also to find the good/positive aspects of it and hang on to them for dear life as it is important for a sense of belonging and own culture. Be a different kind of Indian man/woman. Be the new Indian culture.

I’ll wait.

    • EVOO43vr says:

Maybe it has something to do with how for centuries people would say all these features were disgusting because they were things that black women possess in bulk (dark skin, big lips, big butts) even though it is true other people have the features as well lik you said, but then turn around and get the same things done to themselves and call it beautiful. Ask about the new Afro perm they’re getting in… Korea i think? Surprised me too. It comes down to people wanting what they don’t have. And when people have been telling you that what you have is ugly (and making fun of it in minstrel shows even) then spending thousands for something “similar” it kind of makes you mad. I dunno, go write a book about it or something.

  42. libra girl says:

someone asked me why black women are different then black women in another country this is what I thought:?
Possibly for one reason. lack of education. Lack of communication within our goverment and to the guy who answered you. First of all I’m glad she asked that question. let it start a debate. If a black woman gets angry(which chances she will) It must be either one of two things. 1.)She lacks a skill called open-minded 2.) She doesn’t want to hear the truth of her lacked culture.

Back to the question. you have to remember where Black originally came from Africa (we) were pulled away from our culture and forced to migrate and seasonal was common among the white slave owners. So blacks were stripped of rights, respect, love, trust everything to feed the greed of prospering white nation. Once that was accomplished the damage was done. Blacks were free but with no education, no communication. And let alone no culture. so now we have poverty. Poverty is not just black anymore it is now other races. But the majority is the black community. Black Women that I have come across have been nothing but ghetto and lack communication. Everything is violence, get money and simple things like that. Manners is definitely not happening. So when do we get up and say you know what?I’m going to go out go to college(state pay you to go by the way if your poor)and try to get a part time job and change my ways? That way I don’t have to go out and sell my ass, or rob someone, or allow someone else to pimp me? When does it stop? Pointing fingers for shit that happened years ago?

I’m suffering too. My mother is white nad my father was black. I was adopted by a black hispanic woman. She beat me a lot used me for state checks. But you know what?I don’t speak with ghetto-tongue I don’t sell myslef short from my only self-worth. I’ve tried to help other people I feel it is hopeless.

And racism isn’t just blacks, whites. It is also against anything lighter than a black girl. I’ve heard black girls say, “Oh look at that white bitch!” And I’m black too just lighter than them. It is always going ot be that way. Jealousy, lost of culture. Look now I’ve heard girls who bleach their children’s skin with cream to lighten it. Check it out on http://www.youtube.com it is all there. want the truth look for it. It is out there.

As for Carribean culture, I don’t know what specific ‘Carribean’ culture your talking about. I know Jamaicans are rowdy as hell and nasty at the mouth. Very horny and vulgur. woman are not respected within their culture. So maybe you went somewhere that gave you that thought. I don’t know.

But that is really beside the point. You said that your complexion improves when you use dove, right? Use that. Daily. Wash your face, arms, everywhere really, with it twice a day at first. When your complexion evens out, slow down to once a day.

And i really dont know what proavctiv actually does for your skin, but i sounds like its the moisturizer in it that helps your skin. I know that stuff can be expensive, so just find a good moisturizer. Apply it to your face, arms, all over. I mean it is alot of work, i know, but if it really bothers you that much, all in all it may take an extra 15-30 minutes at the begining and end of your day.

PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE!!!! Really consider the consequenses of doing laser resurfacing. My roommate has permanant, lifelong scars from the VERY VERY painful surgery. And the thing is, you need to get a job where you arent seen by the public, if your appearance is the reason you cant keep a job.

As for college: you are the only one holding you back. If people in Virginia are really that conserned with the way someone else looks, come over to kentucky. NKU to be exact. The students are very accepting if you let them. My best friends are from there. And that has been five years ago.

Geeze, there are no products for black people. There are only products marketed toward blacks. There’s a huge difference in those two statements. This is the same silly question some blacks ask when they say can white products work on their black hair. Most hair products can be used on any hair type, but those products are marketed differently depending on geography, race, income, culture, and other factors. It’s the ingredients you need to worry about. Do you want someone to say your hair is going to fall out if you use them?

Get acquainted with the ingredients they put in hair products. Those are the things that keep your hair from getting healthy or only mask your damage instead of actually improving your hair. Remember that like most products, marketing play a huge factor. All you have to do is watch a Panetene commercial on a channel like CBS and then watch a Panetene commercial on BET. If you’ve never heard of Pantene and you catch the commercial for the very first time on BET then you might ignorantly think that it’s a “black hair care product.” It obviously isn’t. It’s for all hair types, but every company markets it differently to different groups of people. Also, another mistake people ignorantly think: if a company is black owned then they think the product is only for blacks. Not true, either. There are many black owned companies that create hair products for every hair type, like Carol’s Daughter. That would be the same as someone ignorantly thinking that Panetene or Dove or Nexxus or any other brand is only for whites since they are white-run companies.

So we have traveled to many different countries around the world. Now i live in a nice middle class suburban style homes. My parents have always had successful jobs and raised me well. I experience different cultures and people so i guess im a diverse person. I recently bought a skin bleaching cream at a local drug store. I first applied the cream to my arms. Weeks later my whole arm turned really light. The reason i want to do this is because im tired from racism and wanted to be white. I don’t know what to do once my parents find out my whole body turns really light. Im really insecure about my race and planned on bleaching to become a white person or have my nose changed to look like a white person’s nose.
( my nose is huge and wide) ( please no michael jackson jokes) I just want to know if there is any way to make my skin really white.

You should be happy with your color, there are plenty of beautiful dark skin women. Like Naomi Campbell, Grace Jones, and Alex Wek.
